Road Closures Across Armenia
The Rescue Service reports that there are road closures across Armenia.
The roads leading from the high-altitude meteorological station "Amberd" in the Aragatsotn region to Amberd Fortress and Karli Lake are closed. The Gndevaz-Jermuk road is closed to all types of vehicles due to a snowstorm.
The Vardenyats Pass, as well as the roads through Spitak and Dilijan, the intersection from Jermuk to the cities of Jermuk and Sisian, the Noyemberyan-Jujevan and Noravan-Kapan roads, and the Yeraskh-Zangakatun section of the Tigranashen bends are closed to vehicles with trailers and impassable for other types of vehicles.
The roads from Vanadzor to Dilijan and Vanadzor to Alaverdi are closed to trucks with trailers.
The bends in Stepantsminda, the Berd-Chambarak road, and sections from the M-4 road to Haghartsin and Parz Lake are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.
On certain roads in the Kotayk region, including Aparan, Aragats (experiencing a snowstorm), Dilijan, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq and Amasya areas, there are patches of black ice.
Snowfall is reported in Syunik (except for Meghri and Agarak), Ararat, Tavush, Armavir, and Lori regions, as well as in Yeghvard, Abovyan, Ani, Aragats areas and in the cities of Yeghgnadzor and Vayk.
A snowstorm is occurring in the section known as Saravan-Zanger and in the city of Jermuk.
