1225% Growth: Nikol Pashinyan Presents Technology Sector Development Indicators
Combining or comparing visions for strategic perspectives is a good idea. According to Nikol Pashinyan, statistics illustrate how the sector has changed compared to 2018.
“Our statistics say, for example, that the number of information or technology companies in Armenia has increased more than 12 times compared to 2018, meaning an approximate growth of 1225 percent. The sector’s turnover has increased by 171 percent, which means that the sector's turnover has almost quadrupled, while the number of employees in the sector has increased more than fivefold since 2018,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during an informal meeting with representatives of information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), telecommunications, and other technological sectors.
Regarding non-statistical data, the Prime Minister noted that significant changes are occurring in the information technology sector. In particular, satellite internet is available across all of Armenia, thanks to Starlink services, contributing to balanced regional development.
