It is in Turkey's Interest for Iran to Resolve Its Issues with International Actors, Says Fidan
Turkey places special importance on regional stability and security. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during a press briefing.
“Our region faces numerous challenges that have been inherited from the past and have developed over time. One of these is the sanctions imposed on Iran for many years, as well as certain political disagreements. We share an immutable border with Iran that has remained unchanged for centuries, and we have close trade and social ties. Therefore, everything happening in that country is directly related to us. We are closely monitoring these developments,” the minister noted.
Fidan also emphasized that it is in Turkey's interest for Iran to resolve its issues with international actors and to prevent instability. “Our priority is to prevent a situation that leads to the use of force. We are resolutely keen on having the issues resolved through dialogue,” he stated.
