US President’s Decisions on Iran Actions Now Seem Most Important: Vardan Voskanian
Despite the protests that took place in Iran last night, the number of participants and the recorded violence have been significantly lower. This is not yet an indicator that the peak of protests has passed, and everything will become clearer during the upcoming Thursday and Friday holidays. This was stated by Iranian studies expert Vardan Voskanian on his Telegram channel.
“A three-day mourning period was announced in Iran due to casualties on both sides during the clashes. At this point, what seems more important is not the situation of protests within Iran, as the authorities have largely managed to bring them under control, but rather the decision of the US President regarding actions against Iran. Yesterday, Trump himself spoke about this while returning to Washington, confirming that he has not made a final decision and that several options are being discussed. However, it is clear that the decision should also be directly related to the developments taking place within Iran, as well as the Iran-US mediated communications, which, judging by indirect signals, are ongoing,” he wrote.
