Georgia to Implement Mandatory Health Insurance for Foreigners Starting January 1st
Georgia will introduce mandatory health insurance for foreigners starting January 1st. Upon entry, travelers will be required to present an insurance policy that covers at least $5,000 for outpatient expenses and $30,000 for inpatient expenses, including accidents, sudden illnesses, and medical evacuations.
The absence of insurance will be considered a violation, attracting a fine of 300 GEL (approximately $110) or even denial of entry.
