Fake SMS Messages from Indonesian Numbers: Authorities Warn Citizens in Vagharshapat
As we know, during the pre-election period in Armenia, various informational attacks intensify. The turn has come to the Vagharshapat community due to the upcoming local government elections. Minister of High-Tech Industry Mikayel Hayrapetyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“In recent hours, numerous citizens have received fake messages (attached are the images), aimed at disturbing the atmosphere during the election period and misleading the public. If you noticed, the sender's number is not from Armenia; it has an Indonesian code. It may seem like a minor detail, but it’s important to pay attention to such details to prevent the provocation from achieving its goal. Information hygiene is vital for all of us,” the minister's post stated.
