HETC to Expect Layoffs: Romanos Petrosyan
The temporary manager of HTETC, Romanos Petrosyan, spoke with journalists regarding the power outages recorded on September 19 in the Kentron administrative district of Yerevan.
"The energy infrastructure of HETC is so worn out that a breakthrough change could not be made in one, two, three, five, or six months. However, I can assure you that the disconnections which lasted for an hour and a half, if it weren't for state intervention, might have lasted three or six hours," he noted.
According to Petrosyan, there was also a fault related to one of the contracting companies connected to the same owners during the noted disconnection. "On Monday, there will be layoffs at HETC, and sanctions provided for in the contract will be applied against the partner," the temporary manager of HETC stated.
