Turkey's Ambassador in Azerbaijan Lists Conditions for Opening Turkish-Armenian Border
Turkey's Ambassador in Azerbaijan has outlined the conditions for the opening of the Turkish-Armenian border. According to him, the processes of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as between Turkey and Armenia, should be viewed comprehensively.
“Both normalization processes are proceeding in parallel. It is known that the border between Turkey and Armenia has been closed since 1993 due to the occupation of Azerbaijani territories. Armenia has no access to the sea, and the Armenian people suffer the most from this. Armenia borders Azerbaijan and Turkey in the east and west, and these borders are closed. Everyone will benefit from this peace, but Armenia will benefit the most. We want to accelerate the normalization process,” said Bilal Akgün, Turkey's ambassador in Azerbaijan, in an interview with APA.
