Earthquake in Armenia
On June 30, at 01:51 local time (21:51 GMT on June 29), an earthquake was recorded by the seismic protection territorial service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The earthquake occurred at geographical coordinates 40.19° N latitude and 45.24° E longitude, 8 km north-west of Martuni city, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 2.2. The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was measured at 2-3 points.
The earthquake was felt in Martuni city of Gegharkunik province, as well as in the villages of Yeranos, Lichq, and Zolakar, with an intensity of 2 points.
