Armen Pambukhchyan on Transportation Changes
It is normal for there to be a separate lane for public transportation when it comes to transport reforms. This was stated by Yerevan Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan during a press briefing with reporters.
“There is no city in the world that does not follow the principle that public transport should have priority. Yes, there should be dedicated lanes for public transportation so that the community using it can reach their destinations faster than cars. We are stuck in the same traffic jams. It is normal for there to be a separate lane for public transport when addressing transport reforms,” the deputy mayor noted.
According to him, considering the existing issues, some reforms will be carried out. “We will monitor what happens and make adjustments,” he said.
