FIP Addresses Reports on Pashinyan's Purchase of a Villa in Marseille
In recent days, Armenian media and social networks have been buzzing with reports that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has purchased a "luxurious villa" in the French city of Marseille for €3.1 million. A French-language article specifically states: "According to reports, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has bought a luxurious villa in Marseille worth €3.1 million."
Furthermore, the publication by the fact-checking platform mentions that the article continues a series of speculations, suggesting that "the funds from the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF) may have been illegally directed for the personal use of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan."
It is also noted that the Mayor of Marseille, Benoît Payan, may have "facilitated" Pashinyan's purchase of the house in Marseille. The fact-checking platform has investigated the source and content of this information and found it to be unsubstantiated, based on assumptions, and thus, false, with the disseminating website being unidentified.
