Kremlin Will Not Reveal Who Will Represent Russia in Istanbul: Peskov
The Kremlin has not yet disclosed who will represent Russia in negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul. However, the Russian delegation will definitely be there on May 15 and will await the representatives from Kyiv, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters, as reported by TASS.
“No, nothing has changed in this regard. We will do this when we receive the appropriate instructions from the President; such instructions have not yet been given,” he stated in response to a question about whether it’s possible to reveal the composition of the Russian delegation.
It is worth recalling that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to hold direct negotiations without preconditions between Moscow and Kyiv in Istanbul on May 11. Zelensky has indicated that he expects Putin to participate personally, but the Kremlin has not made any statements yet.
