London Times Spreads Misinformation About Pashinyan
The article titled "Western pharmaceutical companies test toxic military-grade steroids on Armenian women, children, and the disabled" published by the web platform London Times makes claims referring to the Foundation for the Fight Against Injustice. Upon reviewing the foundation's website, no articles pertaining to Armenia have been found in recent years. The last article was in 2021 concerning misinformation in Armenia.
An analysis of open sources reveals several articles accusing the foundation of disseminating false information. Notably, the reputable American outlet CNN, in one of its articles discussing the Russian misinformation campaign during the U.S. presidential elections, also mentioned the Foundation for the Fight Against Injustice. The article stated that this foundation was established by Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner Group. This group, which presents itself as a "human rights" organization, is led by Mira Teradan, a Russian woman who spent over two years in an American prison for money laundering charges.
The group utilizes individuals with influence in American and foreign social media to spread propaganda and misinformation in the West. The reputable French media group Indigo Publications, which specializes in investigative journalism, reported on the Foundation for the Fight Against Injustice in one of its articles, indicating that it is controlled by Russian military intelligence and disseminates misinformation.
It is worth noting that the Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan clarified, in response to the website's article, that there are no individuals involved in the pharmaceutical business either among the Prime Minister or in the circles of the senior officials mentioned in the report. Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan stated that a clearly false claim was made regarding the "clinical trials conducted in Armenia."
