Estonia Closes Airspace for Slovak Prime Minister's Plane
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has announced that Estonia has denied his plane access to fly through its airspace. This information was shared by the Slovak Prime Minister on his Facebook page.
“A few minutes ago, Estonia informed us that it would not allow flights over their territory. Of course, this is a deliberate attempt to disrupt my visit to Moscow for the official celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II,” he wrote.
He also noted that Estonia made this decision despite Slovakia having permission to use its airspace. As a result, he will not be able to participate in the events scheduled for the evening of May 8 in Moscow. “However, at this moment we are doing everything possible to find an alternative route,” he added.
