New Transportation Benefits Announced by Grigoryan
The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Suren Grigoryan, has announced that discounted fare tickets will now be available for pensioners who are not registered in Yerevan. The registration requirement will also be lifted for beneficiaries.
Additionally, free travel rights will be granted to children with disabilities. "The current decision provides free transportation for citizens registered in Yerevan who have four or more minor children. This proposal suggests removing the minor requirement and providing free travel rights regardless of the children's ages," Grigoryan stated.
Furthermore, the decision is set to eliminate the limitations on 1-day and 7-day travel tickets, making them unlimited. The validity period for tickets that allow three trips within 90 minutes will be extended to 180 minutes.
These decisions will take effect on March 1, considering the need for several technical changes in the system. He also noted that the validity of the ticket for 10 trips will be extended from 30 days to 45 days, allowing citizens to take full advantage of all 10 trips.
