We Are Starting Negotiations with the United States on a Nuclear Cooperation Agreement: Mirzoyan
As reported earlier, a strategic treaty was signed between the United States and Armenia. During the signing ceremony, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made statements.
“We are also starting negotiations with the United States on a nuclear cooperation agreement, known as the '123 agreement'. This will ensure a framework for cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and will emphasize our commitment to the peaceful development of atomic energy in accordance with the highest standards of safety, security, and non-proliferation,” stated Mirzoyan during the meeting.
Furthermore, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that next week, a special military team will be sent to Armenia for border work.
