Stricter Penalties for Jaywalking to be Introduced

Following discussions on proposals received from citizens, several projects have been developed that aim to improve their lives and facilitate administrative processes. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Based on suggestions from citizens:

• The responsibility for thefts committed from vehicles will be tightened, which will help enhance the effectiveness of fighting these crimes, considering the real public danger posed by such acts and their recent widespread occurrence.
• Penalties for jaywalking will be intensified, taking into account the degree of danger associated with this conduct, which often results in fatal accidents.
• The legislative framework for the use of explosive materials and related administrative processes will be improved.

The projects are now in circulation. Other proposals submitted by citizens were also discussed during a recent meeting. Solutions will be announced soon.
