10 citizens hospitalized. Fast food outlet activity suspended
A case of food poisoning has been reported in Vanadzor. The activities of a fast food outlet have been suspended. This information comes from the Armenian National Food Safety Inspectorate.
“According to the information received from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, on the evening of December 21, ten citizens were admitted to the medical centers in Spitak and Tashir with a preliminary diagnosis of food poisoning.
Responding quickly to the received alert, inspectors from the regional center of the National Food Safety Inspectorate in Lori began monitoring activities immediately. It was determined that the affected citizens had eaten at a public catering point owned by individual entrepreneur Rudik Alaverdyan, located in the central market of Vanadzor.
Samples of the food products were taken for laboratory examination. During the monitoring, it was also determined that this establishment was operating in violation of established sanitary and hygienic norms. The production activities of the public catering point have been suspended,” the statement reads.
