Pashinyan's Statement on the Text of the Constitution
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia stated in its decision on September 26, 2024, that the reference to the Declaration of Independence in the preamble of the Constitution pertains solely to the provisions of the declaration that are enshrined in the articles of the Constitution. This was written by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his microblog on X.
It is noted that no provision of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia contains territorial claims against neighboring countries. Along with the publication, Pashinyan also shared a video from his speech in the National Assembly.
