Armenian Defense Ministry Responds to Reports of Thousands of Armenian Soldiers Being Sent to Ukraine
Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon has announced that NATO is sending a contingent of 170,000 troops to Ukraine. He stated, as a so-called "strict secret," that several thousand Armenian soldiers will also be among this contingent. This was reported by Panorama.am.
"A military contingent of 170,000 soldiers will arrive in Ukraine. They will be positioned along the contact line. However, this will only happen after a contract is signed. In my opinion, there will be troops from France, spearheaded by President Macron, as well as contingents from Great Britain, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. It is also possible that soldiers from Armenia will be involved, as President Macron has reached out to Nikol Pashinyan, and it seems the latter has said 'yes.' I say 'terrible secret,' it is not excluded that several thousand may come from Armenia. This is the kind of military group that will be along the contact line," Gordon declared.
The media outlet has sent inquiries to the Armenian Defense Ministry to comment on Gordon's statements. In response, the ministry's press secretary said, "This is a fabricated statement and does not correspond to reality."
