Hovik Aghazaryan Rejects Pashinyan's Request
I regret to announce that I am compelled to refuse the Prime Minister’s request regarding the resignation of my mandate. This was stated by Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, in an interview with 24News.
According to the deputy, following his decision not to resign from his mandate, the Prosecutor General may enter the parliament and propose depriving him of immunity.
It is recalled that earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he had requested parliament members Narek Zeynalanyan and Hovik Aghazaryan to resign their mandates. Narek Zeynalanyan has already resigned his mandate.
“I hope that my request will not go unanswered. This issue is not personal. It is a systemic issue, and we need to reassess our perceptions, attitudes, and approaches towards our state and its institutions,” Pashinyan noted.
