Man Reveals Naked on Facebook Threatened with $3,500 Demands
The Armenian Police's Tavush Regional Division in Ijevan has received a report from a resident of Tavush, Volodya M., who claims he is being extorted for money through Facebook. This has been reported by Aravot.am.
The citizen stated that he became acquainted with a user named Nadia Madoyan via the social network, and during a four-day intimate online communication, he exposed himself during a video call. The perpetrator is now threatening him with the video footage, initially demanding $3,500, and after realizing he wouldn't pay, currently asking for $500, threatening to publish the material otherwise.
Measures are being taken to identify the individual responsible for the crime. The Investigative Committee informed Auroranews that a criminal case has been initiated based on extortion. The investigation is ongoing, and no individuals have yet been subject to criminal prosecution. The circumstances mentioned in the report are being verified.
