Mass Brawl in Ararat Province: Over 10 Citizens Hospitalized, Arrests Made

A mass brawl and an extraordinary incident occurred in Ararat Province, resulting in several arrests.

On August 9, around 00:30, the Main Department of the Community Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a report about a brawl taking place at the main intersection of the Dastavan community in the enlarged Masis settlement.

Arriving at the scene, police officers from Masis and employees of the regional criminal department confirmed the information received.

Community and criminal police discovered wooden sticks, numerous pieces of stones, blood-like traces, hats, slippers, and other items at the site.

According to preliminary information, more than 10 citizens have applied to the Masis Medical Center from the mentioned location. Several citizens gathered at the scene, who refused to speak in front of the camera, insisted that they also heard gunshots, which is currently being verified.

The documents prepared by the Masis police regarding the incident have been transferred to the Masis investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

The patrol officers of the Ararat province of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also arrived at the scene.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported to auroranews.am that a brawl took place, there are arrests, and no individuals with gunshot wounds have been reported.
