The Main Problem of Armenia is Not Just Nikolism: Sharmazanov

Eduard Sharmazanov, spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia, writes:

“The main problem of Armenia is … the main problem of Armenia is not just Nikolism. The primary issue is the political system, where, apart from a few exceptions, there are almost no political forces serving the interests of our own state and nation. In one heart, the EU flag is seen, in another’s, the US flag; some are overshadowed by the Russian flag, while others are under the influence of Turkey.

The lack of state mentality and the temptation to serve the 'people's interests' has led us to this point. The spiritual pillar of Armenian political forces should be two absolute values: God and the Homeland.

There is an opinion that the great powers in the world are even turning some political forces and actors against each other for their own interests within Armenia. These forces seem to be fighting like 'gladiators’, serving foreign interests like slaves.

Armenia will only rise again when we defeat our internal slave.”
