Heavy Rain, Hail, and Strong Wind: Weather to Change Dramatically in Armenia
On August 9 and 13 in the evening, as well as on the nights and afternoons of August 10-12 and 14, short rain showers and thunderstorms are expected across most regions of the Republic. On August 9-11, heavy rain is forecasted in some areas, with the possibility of hail.
Clear weather is anticipated during the nighttime hours of August 13. Winds will be from the northeast and east at speeds of 4-7 m/s, with wind gusts expected to increase to 20-25 m/s during thunderstorms.
From August 9-14, wind intensification is expected in the Ararat Province, on the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, as well as in certain areas of Shirak Province in the evening hours, with speeds reaching 17-20 m/s.
Daytime temperatures are expected to drop by 3-5 degrees on August 10-11. In Yerevan, short rain and thunderstorms are anticipated on the evenings of August 9 and 14, as well as on the nights and evenings of August 10-12, with wind gusts increasing to 18-23 m/s during the thunderstorms. Clear weather is expected on August 13. Wind intensification during the evening hours of August 9-14 is projected to reach speeds of 15-18 m/s.
