Video: Woman Attempts Self-Immolation in Front of Prosecutor's Office
A resident of the Vedi community in the Ararat Province, Christine Mahlumyan, attempted to set herself on fire today in front of the Prosecutor General's Office, but police intervened to stop her.
In an interview with 'Oragir News', she stated that her relative had illegally appropriated their family's house using deception and connections with authorities. When she began to speak out about this and approached the court, she was subjected to intimidation and torture.
“On August 16, in Yerevan, some crime was committed that was attributed to me. On September 2, I was taken to the Arabkir precinct, pulled by my hair, thrown against the walls, photographed, and that photo was sent to someone. Then they bring the body snatchers, lay them out, and point at me as if I were the one who committed the crime,” the citizen recounted.
According to her, throughout this ordeal, she discovered that high-ranking officials were behind these cases, who are protecting the illegal process.
