New Mobile App Causes Issues in Armenia: Taxi Drivers Raise Concerns
Taxi drivers have raised concerns regarding the MyTAX mobile application, part of the electronic cash register system. While the app is available for download via the App Store, it has yet to be made accessible on Google Play.
The State Revenue Committee (SRC) informed Auroranews that individual drivers must follow a different protocol. All drivers providing taxi services individually need to download the My Tax mobile application and follow the steps sequentially to connect to the SRC system and generate electronic cash registers.
The SRC confirmed that the app is now available on the App Store for iOS operating systems, while for Android, they are awaiting approval from Google. Drivers are advised to monitor for its availability as soon as it is released.
Regarding fines, the SRC has stated that discussions on penalties will not commence until the entire technical aspect is functioning properly. Clarifications about fines will follow thereafter.
