Russia and Ukraine Begin Negotiations on Prisoner Exchange in Kursk: Media
Representatives from Ukraine and Russia have initiated negotiations regarding the exchange of prisoners of war captured during a Ukrainian military operation in the Kursk region, reports the Financial Times, citing Ukrainian intelligence.
It is noted that Kyiv is withholding the exact number of Russian soldiers taken captive by the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk area. However, according to the report, the number involved is in the "hundreds." The captivity of Russian soldiers is likely to amplify Ukraine's calls for the return of thousands of its military personnel and civilians who were captured during Russia's large-scale invasion, the FT states.
