Four Armenian Clubs Among World's Top 500 Football Teams
Four clubs from the Armenian Premier League have made it to the top 500 rankings compiled by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). Reports Sputnik Armenia.
The Armenian champion, FC Pyunik, ranks 228th among the world’s 500 teams. FC Ararat-Armenia follows in the 287th position, while FC Urartu is at 398th. The runner-up of Armenia, FC Noah from Yerevan, also features in the top 500, occupying the 432nd spot.
The ranking is topped by Real Madrid, which won the Champions League last season. The top three is rounded out by England's Manchester City and Germany's Bayer.
It is noteworthy that the ranking considers team performances from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
