Top Players of the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship Announced

Former Russian footballer Eduard Morenon has announced that he considers Spain’s midfielder Rodri and Germany’s Toni Kroos, who plays for the national team, to be the best players of the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship.

“The first is Toni Kroos, who is finishing his football career, but is playing fantastically. He directs the game of the German national team and makes precise passes in the attacking line, which is admirable. The second is Rodri from the Spanish national team, even if he plays closer to defense. However, his influence on the team is hard to underestimate. He is always at the point where the team needs him,” said Morenon.

The German and Spanish national teams will compete against each other in the quarter-finals of the championship. The match will take place on July 5, with the starting whistle blowing at 20:00 Yerevan time.

In the group stage, Spain won all three matches against Croatia (3:0), Italy (1:0), and Albania (1:0). In the Round of 16, the Spanish players confidently defeated their Georgian opponents (4:1). Germany, in the group stage, won against Scotland (5:1) and Hungary (2:0), and drew with Switzerland (1:1). In their first playoff match, the host country of the tournament (Germany) defeated Denmark 2:0.
