Georgian and Turkish Football Federations Fined Due to Fan Brawl
UEFA has fined the Georgian and Turkish football federations due to a brawl between their fans at the Dortmund stadium. Georgia was fined €30,000, while Turkey was fined €25,000. The match on June 18 ended with a victory for the Turkish national team, with a score of 3:1. The brawl occurred in the stands before the match kicked off.
In another decision, Germany was fined €20,000 for failing to ensure safety during the matches of Portugal against Czechia and Turkey, as fans had invaded the pitch to take photos with Ronaldo before and after the games.
In the group stage of the European Championship, only Spain and Slovakia managed to avoid fines out of 24 federations, with the total fines for all other federations reaching €1.3 million.
