Man Strangles Wife During Massage in St. Petersburg and Disposes of Body in Bathtub
A man in St. Petersburg has strangled his wife during a massage. He then filled the bathtub with water, placed the body inside, and left the apartment.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are under investigation in St. Petersburg. According to 78.ru, a 37-year-old man drunk was arrested near house number 5 on Vologdina Street in the village of Pargolovo on Saturday night. He informed police officers that he had strangled his wife.
Upon arrival at the scene, the team discovered the body of a 41-year-old woman showing signs of strangulation. The suspect explained that on June 29, between 12:30 and 1:30 AM, he had been giving his wife a massage in one of the rooms of their two-room apartment. For no apparent reason, he suddenly squeezed her neck with his hands and strangled her. He then filled the bathtub with water, moved her body there, placed her face down in the water, and left the apartment.
The body has been sent to the morgue, and a criminal case has been opened for murder. The suspect is currently in custody. It has been revealed that he was previously charged with armed robbery but ended up in a psychiatric facility instead of prison.
