Video: The Homeowner Who Reported the Theft Committed It, Spending the Money on Bets
On June 3, a 44-year-old man from the village of Sasunik reported to the AshTaraki police department that money had been stolen from his home.
According to the police, an operational group dispatched from AshTaraki identified that between 14:00 and 16:20, an unknown individual had taken the door key from a clearly visible location, opened the door, entered the house, and stolen 1.2 million drams from the living room closet.
Thanks to the measures taken by the criminal investigation department and explanatory work, on June 4, the 44-year-old homeowner presented himself to the AshTaraki police station and confessed that on various days between May and June, he had periodically taken money from the closet to place bets.
The prepared documents have been sent to the Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department.
