How Much Money Did the Armenian Foreign Ministry Spend in 2023
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spent 25 billion 57 million drams from the state budget in 2023. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Finance Vahan Sirunyan during a joint session of the parliamentary standing committees discussing the implementation report of the 2023 state budget.
It was reported that the funds were allocated for the implementation of 6 programs through 15 activities. The actual execution rate was 99.8 percent.
The increase in expenditures compared to 2022 was attributed to the provision of a working platform for employees of diplomatic missions located in various countries around the world. Part of the funds was allocated for the acquisition of new buildings to serve as embassies.
