Movements at the Border Checkpoint: Russian Border Guards Preparing to Leave Yeraskh, Village Head Says
Russian border guards are preparing to exit from Yeraskh. This was stated today, on May 15, by the administrative head of Yeraskh village, Vardan Levonyan, in an interview with NEWS.am.
He mentioned that there is currently movement at the border checkpoint and that preparatory work is underway. Earlier, it was reported that Russian border guards had also withdrawn from Nerkin Hand a few days ago, as confirmed by the village head of Nerkin Hand, Khachaturo Baghdasaryan.
It should be noted that the day after the meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Putin, the leader of the CPP faction, Hayk Konjoryan, announced in a Facebook post that an agreement had been reached regarding the withdrawal of Russian border and military posts located in Tavush, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, and Ararat regions during and after the 44-day war.
