Huge Tree Uprooted in Yerevan, Damaging Gas Pipes and Power Lines
On May 5th, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 00:40, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that a tree had uprooted and fallen near building number 6 on Kocharyan Street in the Nor Nork administrative district, blocking the road. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
It was determined that the tree uprooted and overturned, resulting in several gas pipes being damaged, power lines being torn down, and an external lighting column breaking, making the street impassable.
Firefighters cleared the fallen tree and removed it from the roadway along with the broken lighting column. According to preliminary information, fortunately, there are no reported injuries.
