Yerevan-Ararat Highway Closed, March Starts in Gyumri
The citizens have blocked the Yerevan-Ararat highway in support of the Tavush residents who are fighting against one-sided territorial concessions. "They are drawing borders with incomprehensible maps. We must preserve our homeland and unite," say the citizens who have closed the road.
Although the road has been closed for about half an hour, police forces have already arrived. The law enforcement officers are demanding that the road be opened, and the situation is tense. The gathered crowd chants: "Nikol is a traitor!", "Nikol, murderer!".
Meanwhile, a group of citizens is also marching in Gyumri, calling for participation in protest actions to prevent new territorial concessions.
