Zelensky Announces When Peace Proposal Will Be Presented to Russia
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced that as a result of the upcoming peace conference in Switzerland, which he estimates will involve around 80 countries, a document will be prepared outlining a plan for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
“At the right time,” Zelensky stated, the document will be presented to Russia. He mentioned that Ukraine will put forward a paper containing points that must be agreed upon by all participants of the conference. “I believe that more than 80 countries will join the summit. I think we will emerge with results. At least three points. If the whole world agrees that it is fair, then we will find a format to compel Russia to agree to it. I am confident that there will be powerful countries that can exert political pressure on the Russian Federation. This happened already in the case of the grain initiative,” Zelensky said in an interview with French blogger Hugo Travers.
After all conditions are agreed upon at the peace conference and assurances are received from other countries to act as mediators, Ukraine will prepare the final document reflecting its vision for ending the conflict. “And we will find the right time to present it to the enemy and discuss it with them,” Volodymyr Zelensky clarified.
