24 Members of 'Martial Brotherhood' Arrested on Suspicion of Illegal Weapons Possession
Members of the 'Martial Brotherhood' have been arrested, as reported on the group's Facebook page, stating that the basis for their detention is suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
The police informed 'Azatutyun' that 24 individuals have been arrested on suspicion of illegal carrying and possession of weapons and are being transferred to territorial units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The 'Martial Brotherhood' also claims that contact with some of its members, including Hrant Ter-Abrahamyan, has been interrupted.
A visit to Verin Voskepar was scheduled for noon today, which they claimed was for tactical training. However, the organization announced yesterday that representatives of Armenia's Criminal Police had visited their office and urged them to refrain from this initiative. Nevertheless, according to Hrant Ter-Abrahamyan's Facebook post, they decided to go ahead with the visit.
