Dojd Apologizes for Accusations Against Armenians During Special Broadcast
The Dojd television channel has apologized for unsubstantiated accusations made against Armenians during a special broadcast. It was reported that an Azerbaijani man, who presented himself as a sound director from 'Crocus', claimed that the terrorists were Armenians because he, being Azerbaijani, knows Armenian insults and that 'the terrorists were communicating and insulting people in Armenian while gunning them down.'
'When we heard such accusations, the host emphasized that this was unproven. We removed him from the broadcast and cut that segment from the report. I apologize that such expressions have been heard on Dojd’s air,' wrote the channel's chief editor, Tikhon Dzyadko.
Earlier, the Armenian Embassy in Russia expressed deep concern regarding the incident that occurred on air. 'We are outraged by the targeted dissemination of such information, which does not correspond to reality and is aimed at inciting anti-Armenian sentiments in Russia,' stated the embassy's statement.
