VIDEO: Charges Filed Against Vahan Kerobyan, He Does Not Accept Them, Lawyer Says

The former Minister of Economy, Vahan Kerobyan, has been charged, which he does not accept. This was announced by Kerobyan's lawyer, Tigran Egoryan, during a press briefing with journalists.

According to Egoryan, Kerobyan is accused of abusing official powers for selfish purposes in accordance with advance agreement within a group, and using or exerting influence related to those powers.

“The grounds presented in the prosecution's decision, which are reflected in the petition submitted to the court, are quite weak. We believe that the conclusions drawn do not correspond to reality and are mainly at the level of assumptions. The investigative body, aware of the low level of justification for the charges, is defending itself from our public statements by prohibiting us from disclosing all the factual data related to the investigation that we would know,” the lawyer stated.

Charges have been filed against Vahan Kerobyan.
