The media outlet, citing its reliable sources, notes that Gevorg Papoyan, a member of parliament and deputy head of the ruling Civil Contract party's executive body, may be appointed to this position.
“We tried to confirm the information with Papoyan, but he did not respond to our calls,” the website stated.
As previously reported, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan has tendered his resignation from the position he held.
“Dear residents of the Republic of Armenia. It turns out that I will no longer serve you in the capacity of Minister of Economy. Over these more than three years, I have worked with unwavering dedication, filled with love for every resident of Armenia. I have worked at least six days a week, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on average, and over the past three years, I have taken a total of 15-16 vacation days. I have lived each day of my work with the dominant drive to have a strong Armenia,” Kerobyan wrote.
