Data Analysis Based on Signals from Hayasat-1
The team behind the first Armenian satellite, “Hayasat”, has successfully registered signals from the first Ukrainian CubeSat, “Hayasat-1”, created in independent Armenia, and is conducting the planned data analysis.
“We are pleased to announce that the Hayasat team has successfully registered the signals coming from the satellite and is conducting the planned data analysis. The team is very excited since this work, along with the certain challenges that arise, serves as an indispensable platform for education, research, and new discoveries,” a representative from the “Bazumk” space research laboratory informed Armenpress.
On December 1, the “Hayasat-1” satellite was launched into space via SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the USA. The rocket was launched at 22:20 Yerevan time, and about an hour later, the “Hayasat-1” satellite successfully separated from the rocket and entered orbit.
All development, creation, and programming work for the first domestic satellite “Hayasat-1” has been carried out in Armenia. The project started in January 2022, with the entire chain of the program implemented in collaboration with the “Bazumk” space research laboratory fund and the “Center for Scientific Innovation and Education” fund (CSIE).
