EU Council Decides on Potential Use of Income from Frozen Russian Assets
The EU Council announced on Monday a decision that clarifies the obligations of central securities custodians holding the assets and reserves of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which have been frozen due to EU restrictive measures. This is reported by Interfax.
“This resolution paves the way for the Council to decide on potential financial contributions to the EU budget, which would be collected from the net profits for future support of Ukraine and for its reconstruction and recovery,” states the document published in Brussels.
