Farmers Protesting in Spain Lead to Arrests
Protests by farmers in Spain are gaining momentum against the EU's agricultural policies. Demonstrators have blocked roads with agricultural machinery, and around 1,250 tractor drivers have descended into the city center of Barcelona.
During the protests, 733 administrative cases have already been initiated, and 12 individuals have been arrested. Farmers are expressing their discontent with the EU's free trade agreements with third countries, which allow for the import of agricultural products at low prices.
