This Should Be Said by the Clergy: Everyone Must Serve in the Army, Including Women, It's Inevitable for Armenian Reality - Aghajanyan
“Do not overestimate yourself. It is the result of that overestimation that Nikol Pashinyan is the leader. And he did one right thing: he showed our essence, which we do not want to accept.” This was stated by the Archbishop of Shirak, Mikael Aghajanyan, during an organized discussion.
“50 percent are exempt from the army for various reasons. Is Pashinyan to blame for this? Is he the one arranging that 50 percent escapes military service? My close friends shamelessly say that my son should not serve in the army, it is sacred. Everyone must go to the army, including women. This is inevitable for Armenian reality. In this geopolitical area, we want to have Armenian statehood and not exist within these miserable, pitiful borders; there is no other way but to be a militarized state. Is this what the clergy should say? All other paths will lead to the elimination of Armenian statehood and Armenian identity,” said the Archbishop of Shirak.
