MTS Completes Sale of MTS Armenia
The telecommunications company MTS (MOEX: MTSS) has announced the completion of the transaction involving the sale of 100% shares of its subsidiary, MTS Armenia (Viva-MTS). The new owner is the Cypriot company Fedilco Group Limited.
"The transaction also included MobiDram LLC, a payment system providing financial services in the Armenian market, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of MTS Armenia," the company stated in a message posted on its website.
The MTS press service clarified that the company has received all necessary corporate approvals and permits from regulatory authorities in Armenia.
According to bagramyan26, Robert Kocharian and Karen Karapetyan had sought to acquire MTS Armenia (Viva Cell) through Gazprombank but were denied.
