Grandmother Taped 8-Year-Old Grandson's Mouth and Locked Him in a Bedroom
According to a source from Aravot.am in the police department, recently T.V. filed a report at the central division of the National Police stating that his son D.V., born in 2016, informed him that his maternal grandmother, M.G., had taped his mouth shut and dragged him into the bedroom, subjecting him to psychological and physical abuse.
According to the same source, the 8-year-old boy's grandmother has been arrested on suspicion of causing him physical pain and severe mental suffering and was taken to the central police station. She was later released.
The publication contacted the boy’s father, T.V., who confirmed the information, stating that he had been divorced for about two years. The children live with their mother, and he visits them according to a set schedule. The father noted that he is not always able to see the children because the visits are often canceled. The children's mother and grandmother do not allow visits without reason, or they persuade the children to tell their father that they do not want to see him.
T.V. also mentioned that during the last visit, his son requested to place a camera on him so that the father could see how they treat him. “He said, ‘Dad, put a camera on me so you can see how they are treating me… He said that his grandmother had taped his mouth shut, pushed him onto the sofa, held him with one hand while taping his mouth with the other hand. Then she pushed him to the room and locked the door... The child says it was so good that his hands were free; he put his finger in his mouth to open it so he could breathe, as there was not enough air… The child recounts how his grandmother and mother punished him and pulled him and his 5-year-old sister out, locking the door behind them.’
