Babayan Has Information on Groups Engaged in Listing Artsakh Citizens: Clarification
Recently, information has circulated in the media and on social networks regarding alleged recruitment efforts by Samvel Babayan aimed at gathering Artsakh residents and facilitating their return to Artsakh. Considering the sensitivity of the issue and the temptation for various political and social groups to capitalize on it, we declare that Samvel Babayan is not engaging in such activities, either individually or collaboratively. This was reported by Samvel Babayan's press service.
Instead, he has presented comprehensive approaches concerning the status of Nagorno-Karabakh and the return of the Armenian population to the representative body and government of the Republic of Artsakh. The proposed approaches include the formation of a relevant working group, endowed with the authority to conduct direct negotiations with the Azerbaijani side regarding the status of Nagorno-Karabakh and the return of the Armenian population.
Additionally, Samvel Babayan consistently emphasizes in his public statements that discussing the possibility of population return without clarifying the status of Nagorno-Karabakh is reckless.
Samvel Babayan also has information about the business activities of groups involved in the listing of Artsakh citizens. In this regard, he calls on law enforcement agencies to take appropriate actions in this direction, and advises compatriots from Artsakh not to believe the false promises of self-proclaimed saviors and not to contribute to their business activities.
