How Significant Are HAMAS Losses Since the Start of War with Israel
Since the outbreak of war on October 7, Israel has killed at least 20% and no more than 30% of HAMAS fighters. This information comes from The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. intelligence estimates.
It is noted that the entire fighting wing of HAMAS prior to the conflict numbered between 25,000 to 30,000 individuals. The American publication emphasized that Israel is far from achieving the complete destruction of all armed supporters of HAMAS, while the movement possesses sufficient ammunition to continue counterattacks against Israeli forces in Gaza for several months.
Previously, HAMAS had indicated its intention to negotiate a new deal for prisoner exchanges with Israel.
